THANK YOU
Thank you to the staff at Yarn Lady for not only holding down the fort while Gaby and Dutch are dealing with personal health issues but for taking the ball and making sure the first ever Stitch N Pitch Angels game went as smooth as possible. If you feel that they are doing a great job, please make sure that you let them know.
CHARITY

We Need Knitters! (and Crocheters)

Saturday, November 29th, there will be an event at Spa Gregories in Newport Beach, CA that will donate 100% of proceeds of the scarves sold to the Susan G. Komen Fight For The Cure.

Join Yarn Lady with this worth while cause by making scarves to be auctioned off. Yarn Lady would like to get these scarves displayed throughout the store for viewing before bidding begins. Contact Kathy at (949.422.0414) for more details.

STITCH N PITCH

ANGELS

If you could not be there, know that you missed a fun and exciting game at Angel Stadium for the first ever Stitch-N-Pitch in Anaheim, California. Albeit there were some glitches in communication, the event went without a hitch. Cherie McIntyre (Yarn Lady) and all the other stores that participated worked long hours to not only get the Angels to participate but to make sure that the tickets got sold and the gift bags were given out.

The overall concensus is that there were a lot of people there, fun was in the air, crocheters and knitters were busy knitting away (both men and women) and the prizes in the bags were greatly appreciated.

We would love to hear what your thoughts were so we can post it on our blog. Lets show the Angels that this is a worth while event to participate in. (everythingisaclue.com)

DUTCH UPDATE

Many of you are wondering how Dutch is doing. We thank you for your interest and your prayers. I have begun a personal blog, so if you wish you can look there.

Gaby's Personal
Blog is HERE!
On a personal note:

How secure do you feel today?

As I write this there is news of possible financial doom, reports of earthquakes and hardships caused by sever weather. I bet you that more than a few of us feel like crawling under a rock until all the trouble just goes away.

But there is good news! People are helping people rebuild, folks are donating to food banks and some even bring joy to others by teaching them to knit. I'm sure that this is the time to get back to counting our blessings and to look out for our "neighbors" and to pay things forward, as they say. While Dutch and I are away from the store, our staff is holding down the fort to help us out. I made a little bear for a friend and she passed it on to someone going through chemo and she has already promissed to pass it on to others.

How can we find ways to show love to others in these uncertain times?

Romans 8:37-39
37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
