Our FAMOUS BAG SALE

Saturday, June 7th, 2008
from 8 AM to 3PM

What is a bag sale?
Why do we have bag sales
Where is the bag sale
When is the bag sale
Where can I stay if I'm from out of town

Again, I'm busy bagging yarn for this sale. We just received a shipment of Filatura di Crossa yarns that I KNOW you will love!
Merino is a favorite for all knitters and crocheters and you will love the one that we got for you.

To make things even more interesting, I am including selected bags marked FREE. Yes, you saw that right! You will be able to find some yarns marked free. Who knows what they are? They could be regular yarn, they could be scraps (I can never throw anything away), some are projects that I have started and still have the needles in them....... Check it out!

One specially marked free bag per customer with purchase of another bag of sale yarn, as long as they last and as you find them.

Our Store

We would love to show you around our store and show you all that we have to offer. From yarn to needles, accessories, purse handles, buttons, books and patterns, to classes and samples, we have it all!

A Message From Dutch and Gaby

Not only will we have LOTS of yarn on sale outside, you will find bargains inside the store as well.

PSSSST, we don't know yet what all they will be, so you'll need to come and check them out!

More Free Patterns

Recently I have decided to share with you some of my patterns for free in appreciation of your patronage and to help you use up your stash yarns and to inspire you to buy new yarns. So rather than sending them to you each week, which proved to be quite the task, I will link to them here.

Please call the store toll-free at 1 888 770 7809 for any of your yarn needs or e-mail me with any questions. Enjoy!

Please note: The patterns are mine and you have permission to use them for yourself and even pass them on, but not for you to use commercially. Thanks so much!

  More and more people are
learning to spin.

If you're one of them, please join us on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 PM
There is no charge for this!
Come and join in the fun!

Charity Work

As I'm getting ready for the next bag sale, I have decided to once again knit little Teddy Bear sweaters as samples so you can see what some of the the yarns look like that you will be buying.

But it doesn't end there. In the past we have collected these bears and given them to the local police and fire departments. If you go to my free pattern page, you will find a pattern for these little things. Go ahead and join me in this effort and use some of your stash and make some little sweaters. Any yarn will do. Use your imagination! Have fun! Bring in your creations and we'll pass them on. We will have a jar on the table where you can donate to help defray the cost of the bears.

On a personal note:

I have shared this with you before but thought it was worth repeating....

THIS WAS SENT BY MY BROTHER JÜRGEN IN NOVA SCOTIA
AND WE WANTED TO SHARE IT WITH YOU....

Puddle and Dandelions....

When I look at a patch of dandelions, I see a bunch of weeds that are going to take over my yard. My kids see flowers for Mom and blowing white fluff you can wish on.

When I look at an old drunk and he smiles at me, I see a smelly, dirty person who probably wants money and I look away. My kids see someone smiling at them and they smile back.

When I hear music I love, I know I can't carry a tune and don't have much rhythm so I sit self-consciously and listen. My kids feel the beat and move to it. They sing out the words. If they don't know them, they make up their own.

When I feel wind on my face, I brace myself against it. I feel it messing up my hair and pulling me back when I walk. My kids close their eyes, spread their arms and fly with it, until they fall to the ground laughing.

When I pray, I say thee and thou and grant me this, give me that. My kids say, "Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my friends. Please keep the bad dreams away tonight. Sorry, I don't want to go to Heaven yet. I would miss my Mommy and Daddy."

When I see a mud puddle I step around it. I see muddy shoes and dirty carpets. My kids sit in it. They see dams to build, rivers to cross, and worms to play with.

I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from? No wonder God loves the little children! Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I wish you Big Mud Puddles and Sunny Yellow Dandelions!!!
