Stacy Charles

of Tahki-Stacy Charles at Yarn Lady
Wednesday, January 9th from 6-8PM

It is our pleasure to announce a special visit by Stacy Charles at Yarn Lady.

It only took us 18 years to get him to come so you KNOW how special that is!
Stacy will be in town for our trade show and he is making a special detour to our store.

You have previously heard of our Yarn Tastings and many of you have attended them and been able to sample yarns and see model garments first hand and even get to try them on. What also happens is that it gives US an idea of what YOU like and what we should be buying. So in fact, you are a focus group! It matters to us a great deal what you think and what you would like to see us carry.

Stacy has been in business much longer than we have and he brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience with him. I wish I had better pictures of him so you could "meet" him ahead of time (I really had to Google to find this one..)

He is bringing with him all kinds of new Spring yarns, garments and Fashion Forecasts

The event is free and you come away with great ideas and samples of yarn. Stacy is on New York time so please be there before he turns into a pumpkin at 8 (not 9 as previously stated)

We invite you to come at 5:30 for light hors deuvres.

Dutch and I look forward to seeing you there!

Chemo Hats

We have asked you in the past to put your hooks and needles to work for Charity. We continue to encourage you to use your talents for others and turn your leftover yarns into something that others can use. We were asked right before Christmas to supply a number of scarves and because of lack of time were not able to come through. Let's start early this year to make all kinds of things and distribute them throughout the year.

I have recently been busy making Chemo hats that will be for sale. I plan on listing them on Etsy to make them available to a wide range of people. Perhaps Etsy would be an outlet for your creativity as well. Check it out!

What yarn combinations can YOU come up with?

On a personal note:

In our last Newsletter I shared with you what is going on in our lives. Many of you have sent encouraging notes and we are so thankful for each of them!

Our daughter and her family have safely landed in Kansas City and got a bit of a taste of snow and cold weather already. Caitlyn starts her new school on Monday and she is really excited about that! Thanks to all of the prayers and some meds, Dutch has been feeling real good! He looks forward to coming to the store on Wednesday. We have been so uplifted by the many prayers from so many people that I thought the other day, this must be what it's like to walk on water. You truly feel like you're carried above it all and we're so grateful.

Because the store is in the capable hands of Cherie and all of our staff, I have been blessed to be able to stay home and pretend that we are retired and spend all of my time with my husband. When you come in the store, please give them all a hug from us and thank them for keeping the "Homefires" burning. We know that when the "right" time comes, God will find the right person(s) to step in and carry on our dream. If you think you might be the one, please contact us for more information.

In the meantime we're planning ahead for Stitches West and hope to see you there if not at the store.
