Can you believe how time is flying? Here we are already past Valentine's Day and looking at St. Patrick's Day and Easter and Passover.

We just returned from Stitches West a week or so ago and I have lots to tell you about that! My cousin is here visiting from Germany and we are doing all of the "touristy" things so I'm falling a little behind writing the BLOG. Please be sure to read it as you have time and I will fill in some gaps as I have time.

In the meantime, lots of things are happening at the store.
Last Saturday Colleen Davis was at our store with the wonderful collection of her own designs.

If you missed it- well you shouldn't have! Colleen has a talent like any other I've seen making her knitting truly pieces of wearable art.

This coming Saturday, we have the great pleasure of having
Susan Lazear come to us and teach us things we really need to know about designing. Susan is a sought after teacher of design in both knitting and clothing design as well as the needle arts. She has created software which will help you design just about anything. Susan will teach us all how to get proper measurements as well as gauge. I have seen what she does and you will just love it!

If you have ever wondered: "What can I make out of this yarn?" then this workshop is for you. It's all day and we serve you lunch. How can you go wrong!

On a personal note:

Have you ever loved? I mean REALLY loved?

My sister and her husband just got a new cat. Every day we hear about all that "Figaro" has done. That little ball of fur has really become an object of love and affection. It's wonderful!

When our granddaughter, Caitlyn was born it seemed that I had the choice to decide if I wanted to just love her "enough" and play it safe and not get that involved. This way I wouldn't get hurt if something went wrong. (We lost other children before) Or I could LOVE her and throw my whole self into it.
Of course you know I chose to love her for all I am worth.

It boggles my mind to think that our big God loves little old me so much that He devised a plan to show me.
