Colleen's Bio:

Colleen is co-founder of the North Coast knitters in Encinitas, CA. She teaches workshops and classes locally and across the United States in yarn stores, knitting conventions and knitting guilds. She has a line of patterns of over 30 designs and has had patterns published in Interweave Knits, Knit 'n Style, Knitter's Magazine, Creative Knitting and Belle Armoire. She recently published a DVD entitled "Introduction to Freeform Knitting".

Colleen will be bringing 40-50 garments demonstrating ten different styles, some of which include fabric, felted pieces and crochet.

the dvd gives instruction on three basic techniques. The garments she will be sharing include these three techniques plus seven other styles that go beyond what is included in the dvd. The trunk show will include sweaters, jackets, purses, shawls, shrugs, skirts, scarves and skirts. colleen's line of patterns (not freeform) and the dvd will be available for purchase.

Spend a day with Susan Lazear, creating a vest pattern that is not only creative, but individually charted to your measurements.

Students will work with Susan and Garment Designer software to create their vest. Together they will shop for yarn to find a fun combination that works, and then swatches will be created so that knitting instructions can be generated. Susan will also share various design tips on finishes and edgings.

No computer, or computer knowledge needed.
