If you like the displays you have been seeing around the store lately, this is the lady you should thank. Beate is the mind behind all the new ideas and layout changes we have implimented around the store. She works so diligently to keep everything looking great and to keep your heads full of new ideas for projects.

Beate is also eager to pass some of her creative ideas on to you by teaching workshops that you can attend to learn from her.

Her most current workshops are for unique and very stylish yarn necklaces. Check them out and reserve your space in class!

This lady came to the last workshops with Colleen Davis dealing with Freeform Knitting.

As you can see from the beautiful sweater our mystery "Hall of Famer" is wearing, she was already well aqauinted with the subject. Don't let that scare you away from future workshops. You don't have to know how before you come. You DO have to know how to knit. Colleen will inspire you to put that knowledge to great use. Take a peek at some pictures from her workshop.....

Can you guess who it is?

Have you ever listened to Beethoven? As I am writing this, I am listening to a story entiteld "Mr. Beethoven lives upstairs" . I can listen to that over and over again because I so love the music. Can we even imagine what it must have been like to produce something as glorius as his 9th Symphony and be deaf and not even be able to hear the music?

Just these past few days I heard from several family members and friends, all of whom had some sort of medical problems. My little brother tells me that this is to be expected, that as we get older, more and more of our friends will have medical problems.. I also received an e-mail telling of missionaries that were tortured beyond anything that we can even imagine... We have all watched in horror the events at Virginia Tech...

It reminds me again that we are to pray and bring all of our requests to God. We are to lift one another up in prayer and stand next to each other and help one another out. I thank you for all of your prayers and concerns for us and for all of your e-mails. I pray that any adversity in our lives will only serve to bring us closer to Christ. We truly have so much to be thankful for!

God tells us to: 2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

I certainly am not inviting trials, but when they do come, I know where to turn. I hope you do.
