About Janet Peel

Janet was born and raised in Southern California and lived here all of her life.  She learned to knit in the third grade when her class began the project of knitting and assembling afghans for hospitals and other organizations.  Later she began making socks, ties, coats, sweaters and shawls to continue with her love of knitting.

She spent eight years teaching arts and crafts to junior high and high school students.

Janet still provides many items to charitable organizations. She has been working and teaching at the Yarn Lady for nearly nine years where she enjoys the company of her working companions and customers.
